Manasquan, NJ - Algonquin Arts Theatre will be featuring the fun-filled musical version of Marcus Pfister�s best-selling children�s book, The Rainbow Fish, on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 3 pm. This must-see performance, presented by ArtsPower, is bound to be enjoyed by both the young and the young-at-heart, as has been the case for the past three years that Algonquin Arts has featured this show.

Last year Manasquan Elementary school teachers rated this performance as excellent: �Great singing, very dynamic performances, and the children were very engaged.� When asked about the educational value of the performance, the teachers said that the children learned about �the concept of sharing and giving and the feeling of joy when helping others.�

According to Executive Producer Gary Blackman, �The Rainbow Fish at first appealed to us because of its unusual holographic illustrations. We knew that look would be a hit with children, so we tried to capture it onstage. Our challenge was to make a beautiful set while still stressing the idea that the most precious things are to be found on the inside. Ultimately, I believe we succeeded in this goal.�
