Synopsis
75 years ago, Frank Sinatra made his record-breaking appearance at New York's Paramount Theater, hurling the boy singer into the spotlight and making him a world phenomenon. Join James Langton and his New York All-Star Big Band - along with the sensational vocal quartet Gimme Four - for this unique tribute, and hear the original arrangements written for Sinatra during his 50-year career by Nelson Riddle, Axel Stordahl and others, including material recently unearthed from the archives that has not been performed for decades. Former vocalist and front man with the internationally acclaimed Pasadena Roof Orchestra, James Langton will tip his hat to "Ol' Blue Eyes" in his classy, sophisticated and witty style, swinging new life into such timeless classics as "I've Got You Under My Skin", "Summer Wind" and "The Way You Look Tonight", as well as numbers immortalized by Sinatra during his early years as a big band vocalist, including "I'll Never Smile Again."
