G. Love Performing a Benefit Concert for Surfrider Foundation & Algonquin Arts Theatre

Continuing the Surf Series, Algonquin Arts Theatre is proud to announce this up-close and personal concert featuring G. Love, which will benefit The Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to the protection of the earth's water, and Algonquin Arts Theatre's educational, outreach, and charitable programs. The concert will take place on Friday, October 15th at 8pm (doors open at 7pm) at Algonquin Arts Theatre.

Signed under Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records, Philadelphia native G. Love combines blues and hip-hop creating a genre that he has termed "ragmop." This acoustic, solo performance will be a unique opportunity to sit in an intimate 540-seat theatre and experience his amazing talent.

The event is sponsored by BareWires Surf of Spring Lake and Waterlily Shop of Spring Lake and Manasquan, who will be present at the event. Singer/songwriter Emily Elbert will open the show. Surf artist Jay Alders will also be showcasing some of his famous surf art, and Starbucks, Surf Taco, and Sweet Tease will be providing delicious free food and beverages to ticket holders (first come, first serve). Wine and beer will be available for purchase.

Executive Director of The Jersey Shore Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, David Storch, stated, � We are very excited to partner with and be a part of the Algonquin Arts Theatre�s ongoing �Surf Series.� Surfrider Foundation is grateful for the long relationship and support that both G. Love and Jay Alders have shown in the past. We look forward to a great time on October 15th!�

Tickets are $40 for VIP passes (includes prime seating and entrance to the VIP reception) or $30 for regular tickets. Box office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Algonquin Arts Theatre is located at 173 Main Street in downtown Manasquan, NJ.
